Joe Kell
Chief Financial Officer, TechWadi
In addition to his duties with TechWadi, Joe is Chief Financial Officer of Newbury Ventures, a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley. Prior to joining Newbury, Joe was audit manager in the Technology Assurance and Advisory Group at Ireland San Filippo, working with privately-held clients in a variety of technology-related industries including venture capital, software, semiconductors, and device designers and manufacturers. Joe is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Saint Mary’s College in 2001 with a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. He lives in Pacifica with his wife and enjoys tackling home improvement projects, golfing, sailing, and various outdoor activities.
Mohammad ElBibany
Project Manager, TechWadi
Born at Stanford, the Silicon Valley mentality is a part of Mohammad's DNA. He began working with TechWadi in 2011, playing a vital role in the design and implementation of TechWadi's expansion, while working in both Silicon Valley and on the ground in Egypt. A firm believer in the importance of pursuing passion for success, Mohammad has experience in microfinance in North Africa, and environmental economics research in California. He is expected to earn his B.S. in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2012, after which he hopes to re-focus on his Silicon Valley roots while staying committed to constructing the new Middle East!
Roham Gharegozlou
Roham is at the front-line of TechWadi initiatives, focused on outreach to fast-growing companies in the MENA region. In addition to his work with TechWadi, Roham is an active investor in Silicon Valley and an advisor to several startup comapnies focused on local, mobile, and ecommerce. In his day job, Roham is a VC partner at Rising Tide Fund, helping entrepreneurs turn their innovations into successful enterprises. Prior to Rising Tide, Roham worked with technology startups through Newbury Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based VC with investments throughout the world. Prior to finding his calling in the world of venture capital, Roham traveled a diverse path crossing career lines between science, law, sales, and finance. He has worked in a Stanford biology lab, a private wealth management fund, a leading industrial gases trading firm in the Middle East, and the IT department of Stanford’s largest internal organization. He holds a B.A. in Economics and dual B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. And he’s ALWAYS looking for talented developers.
