TechWadi program managers Salwa Katkhuda and Tasneem Sabri met with Tony Qamar to learn more about a new startup here in Silicon Valley, Breather. Breather creates peaceful, practical spaces where you can work, meet, and relax. Breather spaces are available on-demand, and can be rented by the hour. To access the spaces, download the app, select a location and make a reservation for 30 minutes, a few hours or an entire day. At the time of your booking, check in with your smartphone and you’ll be given a unique PIN code that you can use to unlock the door. Once inside, you’ll find both a lounge and work area, phone chargers, free WiFi, a yoga mat, and a selection of carefully chosen books and quarterlies.
With over 100 locations in 5 cities (including San Francisco and Palo Alto – & more coming soon!), Breather is able to cater to a variety of different needs and use cases that would normally be carried out in public spaces (i.e. coffee shops). In addition to competing with traditional business centers, use-cases include:
- Phone calls
- Business meetings
- A place for an off-site
- Charging your phone
- Actors rehearsing for a play
- Breastfeeding your child
- A total replacement for your office
- A place to nap
A respite for busy entrepreneurs and techies alike, Breather is available when and where you need it.
Breather would like the TechWadi community to take advantage of these wonderful spaces and have offered a FREE hour with code TECHWADI! Sign up here.
