She facilitated workshops, conducted on-the-ground training, and engaged closely with each community. This month, Rama will be returning to the region, facilitating workshops in the Jordan, Palestine, and Dubai. Here are some highlights from the March trip:

Lebanon: The first stop was Beirut, where TechWadi was invited to judge and a speak as part of the final pitch of the Jusoor Entrepreneurship Competition. Following the competition we visited the Social Support Society in Beirut, where we worked with five schools in the Bekaa Valley. They are looking for support from our community to help improve on their school systems. During our time in Lebanon, TechWadi also attended a three-day workshop as part of the UNICEF Lebanon Youth Innovation Project. We are honored to have had the chance to meet and work with the entrepreneurship community in Lebanon-TechCrunch, UKTechHub, Fact0ryX, Speed, AltCity, Local NGOs & UK Tech Entrepreneurs & Investors.

Algeria: At the Arab Women in Computing conference, TechWadi presented on startup funding on two panels at the conference. The conference gathered nearly 100 attendees.

Ramallah: TechWadi met with ANERA , a leading development organization that helps, underprivileged communities and refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. After reviewing the current status of the IT Innovation Centers at four different Palestinian universities, TechWadi offered support to ANERA’s programing for the Centers of Excellence. In Palestine, we also collaborated with LEADERS, an NGO that helps visionaries excel through incubation and acceleration programs. Lastly, we visited Sadara Ventures, a venture capital organization that funds and supports Palestinian entrepreneurs.
