Amal relocated from her home country of Saudi Arabia to pursue her B.A. at the University of San Francisco. She earned a dual degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship & Innovation with a minor degree in Visual Design. During her studies, Amal co-founded the Arab Student Union at USF and led the group for two years. She was also involved in the development of the New Venture Center at USF helping entrepreneurial students think through their startup concepts in the most creative ways.
Amal developed an interest in the tech and startup culture of San Francisco, where she worked in various startup environments such as Impact Hub, SOCAP, Rallyteam and Not For Sale. Her nonprofit work stems from her experience interning with the Arab Film Festival. Her passion for entrepreneurship and innovation both in the Silicon Valley and the MENA region led her to join TechWadi in 2016. She hopes to continue working to foster entrepreneurship and connect startups in the Middle East with the Silicon Valley ecosystem.
