Hoda Rashad is an author and educator that currently runs Sinai Sun Academy in Pleasanton, CA, which is both a Preschool and Arabic Language after-school and online program. Rashad is an American/Egyptian dual national and has over 12 years experience as both a teacher and curriculum consultant. She formerly owned and ran the non-profit "NIYAA" (National Institute of Youth and Adult Activities) in Cairo, Egypt and is also the mother of two children. In 2012 Rashad's book "Rising from Tahrir", that documents the journey of 10 Egyptians through the January 2011 revolution that toppled president Hosny Mubarak, was published and remains in the top 40 Best Selling Books on Amazon in the genre of Middle Eastern Literature.
