Tariq has over 15 years of investment banking experience and has completed over $5 billion in financings with a focus on cross-border M&A advisory and corporate finance services.

Prior to founding Bridge Innovation Capital, he was one of the first bankers at Rodman & Renshaw ( in 2002, where he helped build and guide the firm from 10 employees to over 150 employees with 6 offices around the world and a listing on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Since 2008, Rodman has completed over 85 transactions for China-based companies under Tariq's leadership and became among the top 5 underwriters of Chinese offshore equity offerings in 2010.

As part of establishing a presence in China, Tariq is a frequent guest speaker at the China Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, China Entrepreneurs Conferences, Financial Times China-Arab Economic Dialogue and Latham & Watkins Silk Road Conferences. Tariq is also a panelist in the Socrates Seminars at the Aspen Institute.

Tariq is a former President of the Harvard Arab Alumni Association, a former Member of the Board of Governors of the Arab-American Institute Foundation and the Founder and Director of the non-profit Battuta Knowledge Limited, an organization promoting cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary learning.

Tariq is a Graduate of Harvard University, Class of 1997 and fluent in Arabic, English and Italian, and has reached Intermediate Level Mandarin.
