At the end of April, TechWadi launched the “MENA Entrepreneur Scholarship” Fund, with the goal of raising $50,000 to support entrepreneurs from all over MENA. This decision was made after the continued success of our flagship program Sprint Acceleration, which is held in partnership with organizations all over the region. Most recently, we teamed up with RiseUp Summit and Voyaj to host six entrepreneurs from Egypt for a week-long curated program.
History of TechWadi’s Sprint Acceleration Program
TechWadi is looking for continued ways to move forward and advance its already successful program. Through the “MENA Entrepreneur Scholarship” fund, your donations will provide entrepreneurs and startup founders with access to countless new possibilities they may otherwise not have in their countries of origin such as: opportunities to network, receive mentorship, tour top tier companies, and pitch in front of thought leaders and venture capitalists. In 2016 alone, TechWadi accelerated a total of 29 startups including 11 from MIT Enterprise Forum, nine from Injaz Egypt and one from Saudi Arabia. As the premier organization in Silicon Valley building bridges, we want to continue growing these numbers into the 2017 calendar year.
How Will Your Donation Be Used?
Through your donations, you will help provide MENA entrepreneurs with:
- Fundraising know-how
- Cultural immersion activities
- Excursions throughout the Bay Area
- Tailored programming by the TechWadi team
- Partial funding for lodging and travel
Our team works every day to create an impact. Help us advance TechWadi’s mission to grow and support the rapid expansion of high-tech entrepreneurship by donating today!
