About our speaker:
Maher is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned software and Internet technology executive. Over the past 15 years, Maher was either a founder of a startup technology company, or a senior executive of a technology publicly traded company. Currently he is the founder and CEO of Giveplace, an online social funding platform for schools and nonprofits. Before founding Giveplace, Maher was the founder and CEO of Faculte, an online video platform for e-learning and corporate training. Between 2003 and 2007, Maher was a senior vice president at Lawson Software, an enterprise software publicly traded company. Previously, Maher was the founder and CEO of Apexion Technologies- a mobile software solutions provider acquired by Lawson, a CTO at Neoforma- an Internet B2B publicly traded company, and the founder of Pharos Technologies- an Internet product catalog management platform. Maher has advised a number of technology companies and private equity firms on product strategy and business development issues, and is currently an active angel investor.
